Acura RDX Interior Design
The interior design of the Acura RDX can best be described as quiet refinement. The innovative design puts the driver first and features a convex center console that gives you additional elbow room.
The console dips down, into the body of the vehicle, and curves up into the center stack. Here, you’ll find a simple push-button gear shifter and a touchscreen display that floats above the dashboard.
You can choose to decorate your interior with a variety of fabrics in colors like:
- Red with Ultrasuede
- Ebony with Ultrasuede
Brushed Aluminum, Natural Olive Ash Burl Wood, and Dark Brushed Aluminum trims round out the experience.
With the available panoramic roof, the cabin will be flooded with natural light and fresh air, giving everyone a breezy, open feeling as they settle in for a long drive.
Meanwhile, available heated and ventilated seats, available 16-way adjustable driver’s seat, and available 4-way power lumbar support add even more comfort to every drive.

Interior Dimensions of the Acura RDX
Inside this 2-row SUV, you’ll find enough seating for a total of five, and a passenger volume of 104 cubic feet. This includes the following dimensions:
- Headroom (front/rear): 40/38 inches
- Legroom (front/rear): 42/38 inches
It also features a total cargo volume of 58.9 cubic feet if you fold down the rear seats. Have a full car? Keep the second row upright and you’ll have enough trunk space for 29.5 cubic feet of cargo.
If you need to load up the trunk while your hands are full, the available hands-free tailgate makes it convenient. With the key fob on your person, simply kick your foot under the rear bumper and the hatch will open automatically.
Technology Inside the Acura RDX
We’ve already mentioned that this SUV floats the touchscreen display above the dashboard to give the interior a highly modern feel.
This 10.2-inch HD Dual-Content Center Display allows you to easily access important information like incoming phone calls, audio information, and available navigation. It also comes standard with Bluetooth® wireless smartphone connectivity, as well as Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility.
These features allow you to integrate your smartphone with your infotainment system and easily access some of your favorite apps via the touchscreen display, including navigation, internet radio, and phone contacts.
It comes standard with the Acura Premium Audio System with nine speakers. However, if you really want to get the party started, you can upgrade to the available 710-Watt ELS Studio® 3D Premium Audio System. This system comes from the 8-time Grammy® award-winner, producer, and engineer, Elliot Scheiner, and places 16 speakers around the cabin, including four in the ceiling, to create a concert-like experience.
